Rustenburg - North West police set up a task team to investigate farm attacks in the Rustenburg area after two farmworkers and two farmers were attacked in three incidents.
Inspector Erica Roos said four armed men robbed two farmworkers of cellphones and money on Wednesday in Donkerhoek near Rustenburg.
"One was shot in the leg and the other one was shot in the buttocks," she said.
The two men were admitted to the Rustenburg Provincial hospital.
The incident occurred five days after a farmer was killed and another injured at their farms in Marikana outside Rustenburg.
Roos said Willie Potgieter, 53, was shot dead at his farm on May 12 and his vehicle was stolen.
Hugo Wenhold was injured when suspects attacked him on May 11 at his farm about 30km from Potgieter's farm, she said.
Potgieter's vehicle was found abandoned near Pretoria on Wednesday.
Roos said there was no information to link the attacks.
