Two men and a woman have been arrested for the murder and robbery of a pregnant woman in her home in the Waverley area, Pretoria police said on Thursday.

Inspector Klaas van der Kooi said the two men aged between 21 and 35 and the 37-year-old woman were arrested on Thursday.

Antoinette Botha was killed during a house robbery on June 26, said Van der Kooi.

Botha was found on her bed with a head injury by her partner and neighbour, he said.

"Her black Mercedes was later found abandoned in Soshanguve," he said.

The suspects were expected to appear in the Pretoria magistrate's court on the robbery and murder charges on Monday.

Police investigations revealed that one of the suspects was close to the victim, said Van der Kooi.
